Like I said, Id probably just post some poetry. My english teacher had us write a bunch of haikus, poems in iambic tetrameter, and some other shit, but he also had us write 2 free verse poems. I was cool with that. So, I wrote this one:

I saw her art and medication
In the eyes she kept.
Dull palettes of Zyprexa
Sat near miles of oils,
Pastels, thick pencils all
Colored by her brain.
Steaming hazelnut eyes
Shuffle through works of her hand—
The strokes say less
Than a pantomime.
What the young eyes see
Are scythes dipped in rose petals.
My lids burst
Leaving the story left unseen.

Andddd this one:

In a vile home, we spit
On the hard camouflaged shell.
Blots of desert speckle your voice.
I find love fleeting,
Won’t settle on your tongue,
For its zest overwhelms you.
So cracked by lessons
In marching, shooting singing sparrows,
In throwing grenades riddled
With blue balloons
And the year you found God.
You’ve sewn wound after limb after scalp
Still gun powder pervades your eyes.
Our ears do surely bleed
Since your throat learned
To never rasp.

Yep. :]

I probably won't be writing in this anymore. I might post a poem if I want, but I think I'm done with actual blogging. :T Id rather read other people's blogs, so I'll still be using Xanga.

I'm off to get my hair braided. >_> I'm so excited to sit in that chair for 6 hours.

Hopefully the hookah plan works out tonight. I bet there's gonna be like 7 people coming. Blerp.

My weekend was pretty darn cool. Steph, Dawn and I went to a hookah bar a block away from my house, had a beer and free wine. :D We went again on saturday and had mango hookah. Steph and I had the best sleep after that. I still want to go see Alice. :[ Oh, I just finished this amazing book called Nina: Adolescence. I highly recommend it.

The senior trip was great. :D

Our assignment for English class was to rewrite the ending for a play called Birdbath and at the end of a play, one of the characters wrote a poem for the other. We had to rewrite the poem too, so here's what I came up with:

Bellow from your beak
a song and I'll savor the treat
of your sinister chirps.
The melody you tweet
shakes my soul,
my seat rocks at the strength in your voice.
Will you drop from your bough
to join the worms on the ground?
